中秋節
-------
中秋節 again in 2007, real fast...time does flies & it waits no man
this time as it fall on Tuesday 25 September 2007, most of us (my siblings) didn't manage to take long leave just to go back for the 中秋節 festival.
as I'm busy with my office system migration & go-live this month, i better standby & be prepared than to take a week long leave.. hence i go back before 中秋節 period.
while my younger brother n sister will be back on 中秋節 as informed.. but somehow, my sis have exams during that period, hence cancel off the trip back to hometown, so does my younger brother.
when we call back that night sending regards, my mum sarcastically (as she always does) inform us that what's the point of bearing so many children's when on big festive season, none coming back?
of course to them, 中秋節 & Chinese New Year is a big events.. .but i won't agree on 中秋節 when no such public holiday on 中秋節, is it worth the effort to rush back just for the 中秋節?
for a day?
or worth taking the whole week leave off for this 中秋節?
somehow.. even at my hometown, the 中秋節 is basically a forgotten tradition
normally what we do is :
open-up a table at balcony, pray to the moon
then sit there a while, n go back sleep...
what's the point if i can't even play lanterns & lite up candles?
no atmosphere at all...
candles.. my mum will say dirty her house lar, this lar, that lar... haiz...
probably to them, not going back for such events is not filial.. time for them to open-up their mindset & be more open minded.
somehow i always disagree with the grumbling of those old folks that keep back-stabbing their own children's, saying they're not filial, heartless, useless, etc...
to me (or overall), how yr child behave & their attitude towards their parents.. their parents also should bear heavy responsibilities on such attitude.
when something goes wrong or their children's rebellious, they should do some soul searching : why such thing occured & not blaming their siblings or their children
u all may disagree but i have a point to prove, at least..
else.. u'll know when u have kids
in SG, do have some events at chinese garden, etc.. but i still those in taipei
so grand, so nice & so great..
this year.. i had a simple dinner at waraku and have a walk/stroll with yiyi
manage to take some lousy photo with my p990 phone

adapt fr BBC Sports
I'm a soccer fan but not a fanatic (siao) soccer fan, I only watch big matches between clubs that i like, full stop.
I support Chelsea since the era of Claudi Raneiri when the Russian billionaire Abramovich takeover which have funds to get better players, playing better football.
Stamford Bridge is much sparkling with the arrival of the Special One, Jose Mourinho and proceed to win consecutively 2 barclay premier league title.
then issues arise...
employee do their best... but employer not satisfied, trying to meddle what they're trying to do, control & step few legs into their daily work, etc..
similar to yr workplace or company?
frustrated.. & only 1 available option left :
good & smart employees will leave a company, no matter how much $ you offered...

Cinta dan Kawan
--------------------
only for those who know malay.. circulated via email
Satu hari CINTA & KAWAN berjalan dalam kampung...
Tiba-tiba CINTA terjatuh dalam telaga...
Kenapa??
Kerana CINTA itu buta..
Lalu KAWAN pun ikut terjun dalam telaga...
Kenapa??
Kerana... KAWAN akan buat apa sahaja demi CINTA !!
Di dalam telaga CINTA hilang...
Kenapa??
Kerana... CINTA itu halus, mudah hilang kalau tak dijaga, sukar dicari apatah lagi dalam telaga yang gelap...
Sedangkan KAWAN masih lagi tercari-cari dimana CINTA & terus menunggu..
Kenapa??
Kerana... KAWAN itu sejati & akan kekal sebagai KAWAN yang setia... kan ??
So, hargai lah KAWAN kita selagi kita terasa dia BERERTI....
Walau kita punya couple, teman still paling setia..
Walau kita punya harta banyak, teman still paling berharga.
moral of the story :
treasure good friends, you'll never know when you need their help...

farewell bpcs, welcome sap
--------------------------------
the harsh reality of the real world
bpcs erp system serve us well for over the past 10 years.. however due to HQ direction on globalization & standardization, forcefully being retired & replace by a new fighter, SAP system
bpcs (with as400)
wish u all the best, my dear friend
SAP
how well can u serve us?
sad to say.. many unknown naive colleagues of mine still think that SAP is a real good system. unknown to them, the implementation of sap is purely for HQ to consolidate their resources & businesses.
~ u can run but you can't hide ~

Hungry Ghost Festival
-----------------------
Just as Halloween is for Americans, the ‘Hungry Ghost festival’ is for the Chinese.
Hungry Ghost festival is a popular occasion that is taken very seriously by the Chinese, falls on the 7th month of the lunar New Year. It is believed by the Chinese that during this month, the gates of hell are opened to free the hungry ghosts who then wander to seek food on Earth. Some even think that the ghosts would seek revenge on those who had wronged them in their lives. The reason why the Chinese celebrate this festival is to remember their dead family members and pay tribute to them. They also feel that offering food to the deceased appeases them and wards off bad luck.
issit important?
