living standard in MY/SG

lately when i'm back to hometown & KL, something crops up in my mind.
- living standard
- inflation rate
- crime rate &
- pay scale in MY compare to other countries
i shall mention that living standard also goes hand-in-hand with pay scale, right?
ops.. is living cost be more appropriate here as living standard involve too many things to debate, i shall say living cost comparison between neighbor countries
in SG, you may saw those youngster & gals with LV, Gucci, Channel, etc.. which are completely normal but nowadays in KL city, these are norm now
wow.. just some price comparison justified below (just take LV brand) :
- wallet : SGD$655 versus RM1700
- speedy mini lin : SGD$1100 versus RM2700
a normal salaried worker who earn around $3k in SG need to spend $1100 for a bag but in MY, she need to spend RM2700 if her pay is around RM3000.
can you see the differences?
or.. maybe i'm a "katak di-bawah tempurung - (Like frog underneath coconut shell)" as i work in SG for years, hence really know nothing about the payscale in MY?
unless or i shall safely assume that if i earn SGD$3k in SG, i'll get RM6000 in MY, than that is a good thingy to know
inflation rate & crime rate?
up together, what is happening to my hometown?
lately there's a debate between 1 minister & the police head in JB, quite interesting & heart warming when the minister point out that "only we feel that the city is safe, then the city is safe. not when the police say according to statistic, the crime rate is going down, so it is a safe city".
i stay in SG, been to tokyo, yokohama, HK, taiwan, australia, etc... i dare to walk alone in the middle of the night without fear.
how many of u guys out there dare to do the same thing in MY (of course not all places, i'm talking specifically on a few cities in MY)?

just have a short trip back to Kampar, Perak & my dad drive us to CH for a short trip.
over 10 years, nothing change much, nothing fantastic.. beside the climate

mid-life crisis?

lately i think a lot, real lots of it
am i having a crisis, a serious mid-life crisis?
as my peers telling me : at our age now, we either make it or break it!
among my buddies, many are high flyer while i still stuck here earning meager pay in a locally manage company...
sometimes work hard & smart doesn't mean u'll get promotion or increment. it also depends highly on whether yr boss like you or not, your luck in finding a gd prospect job counts too
guess so far, i don't have such a luck...
someone told me piggy year is a good year for Tiger in career n love life.
i really beg to differ
really no luck in earning a good pay in my career prospect while having bumpy ride in my love life all the years. so disappointed, so pitiful.

lately i watch a 'play' at national library on 'big fool LEE'.
the story evolve around the life of a story teller in those radio/redifussion heyday which span over 40+ odd years
his contribution to the society & media industry is magnimous but what can you do when luck is not on your side?
same as love life too
gigi & ekin together for 7+ years but still went separate ways
gigi mention that : when someone stop loving you, whatever you do.. is useless
