why problematics lei?
my current company lor, the "ah tuor ji ke" company... an european firm, mnc with gd benefits, employee welfares, good balance between work and social life, good remunerations, etc... just too bad, all the above - only applied in European Contingent
& not chinese or asian ppl lor

i join this firm less than a year but my team are sucks, no harmonization, no team spirit, no team work, selfish, take credits, got head no tails, not willing to help, passive, and keep everything to themselves.. just like a bunch of sxxx.
boss got problem with his subordinate, subordinate not willing to help each other, not willing to share, backstab their own boss, bypassing, etc...
huh.. u name it, they have that quality, argh...
i've done my best to build team spirit among my small pathetic team, try to inject some team work, sharing and after some hard work, at last there's some results.
somehow before i can build properly, one of my staff kena axe & change her status to contract staff.. cos her skill sets are not relevant anymore due to the change of our company wide ERP system.
i need to tackle this problem myself carefully, somehow she still my staff and i need to look after her, my responsibilities. after this wave, another coming....
this one more into ethical issues... my direct superior telling me that 1 of my staff is accessing his HR emails. he knows because he need to replace a management staff in another company but somehow this fella know about it and confronted my boss.
my boss just jumping up n down and find out that probably 1 of my staff is accessing his HR mailbox and forwarded this information to him.
so?
what is happening?
my boss confronted my staff, which my staff flatly denied.
probably she might access those mailboxes when she doing emails forwarding, etc... and what my role here?

my boss tell me that he already consulted the management and will issue her a warning letter
my staff keep asking me whether i believe in her or not?
what can i do beside doing some forensic work with my mail server administrator? the prove is there, she's indeed accessing the HR mailboxes but yes, i do agree that sometimes when IT staffs like us performing upgrading on mail server and company-wide backup, we'll be schedule a time to perform that task and of course it'll accessing everything in the server to do a proper backup, right?
but who's right or who's wrong, who knows?
my boss insists that only she's accessing it, the rift is there.. the scar is there, the trust no longer exists
and what my staff doing?
keep bugging me daily for a period of time, asking me what my boss will do to her. each time i go into my boss room, she become wary and asking me, what is happening, what we discuss... and quite irritating. she's more like my superior instead
and always lamented to me that she no longer have prospect and future here... one day she told me she dream that i told her she no longer needed in axxxxxx and give her a pink slip. the next day, she lamented to me again that she dun feel having any future here, cos no promotion...
promotion?
to senior or to what?
my boss say she's childish, like to take credit, always bypassing her superior and always try to show that she's indispensable, which some of it.. i agree lar
she make my boss jump upside down before i join this company and after i join, she also trying to influence me and show me that she's still a power to be reckon with
but this young jedi is just too naive and impulsive
ok.. so last week she told me she found a job, still thinking
all along, i know she's looking for job
ok.. after a talk and over the weekend, she told me she no longer have the heart to wait for the SAP because her only intention staying is to wait for SAP
i've a small talk with my SAP manager, he laugh and tell me... no wonder she ask me some funny2 questions on SAP
ok, so after having a small talk with my boss, my boss decided that it is good to both parties that she left and look for better prospect outside as my boss nowadays no longer involve her in any of the minor local projects... which stretch me off and make my life busy unnecessary
haiz.. u say lar, life good or not as a departmental head?
