ah kok today damn frustrated, super frustrated and super angry.
today already tired n headache dealing with lots of minor matter which are unrelated to me in the office while stay late for a hardware migration on my company's erp system.
before the migration started, my boss ask me out for a quick dinner and we drive out to one of the hawker here n ask for hor-fun. after 20 mins, our hor-fun still not in sight.
my boss confronted the guy, how come that security guard reach later than us got his food and where's our hor-fun? oh.. sorry lei, i think they forgot to place the order lei, sorry hor, 3 mins... indeed 4 mins later, our hor-fun came.
ok, back to office n start my work
while doing validation n network tracing, my colleague brenda already reach home 'shaking leg' n disturb me, say i very pity cos no one OT with me. what to do, i stop the BPCS system, all cannot work mah!
at last, after 8.30pm n do a final round of testing n validation, all work fine.. wow, at last i can go home, hence i book a cab via FASTCALL n happily tell brenda that 'hello, i'm getting a merc cab, SHx81xxx" will be arriving in 10-12 mins.
ok lor, start to pack my stuffs n closing down my lappy, standby n go down.. from 8.40pm to 9pm, no cab in sight, where's my merc cab? i sense something is wrong, so i call the operator this time:
ahkok : hello, i book a cab via fastcall, i wait for 20 mins
comfort : oh, u got the booking or cab plate no?
ahkok : normally i didn't bother to jot down, i only remember a few of that, not all
ahkok : should be SH..81.. can u check for me?
comfort : fastcall, we cannot trace lar
ahkok : is a merc cab, start with SH something, then 81 something
comfort : ok, u at 20 xxxx xxxx road?
ahkok : yes, do check please
comfort : hold the line... ok, our system have no confirmation, i check both on fastcall n our normal booking system
ahkok : nope, u sure? if nope then how come i know it is a merc cab n the plate number given?
comfort : ok, from our records, the last taxi booking on yr company Atxxxxx is 4pm+
ahkok : ok, then can u make a booking for me now, urgent
comfort : sure mr, hold on... ... 5 mins later
comfort : sorry lei, i still can't get a cab, u hold on
comfort : i still can't get a cab for you, how?
ahkok : i dunno how, i'm at tuas and the only mode of transportation that can send me out in this kinda hour is taxi (the time is 9.15pm)
comfort : ok, give me yr handphone number and i'll continue to get a cab for you, can you try our sister company citycab?
ahkok : ok lar but can u really look thru yr record, i need to find out who's that idiotic merc cab driver, i really not happy about it
comfort : sure, no problem
sit at my office reception area motionlessly n keep punching the number of FASTCALL and after 5 times of being disconnected, i really thought of walk out of the main road n try my luck to hail a cab.
then another last try - a citycab will be arrive in 5 mins.
after some complain to the citycab driver on the previous merc cab driver of being so unresponsible, uncle told me : ah boy, next time try not to call cab ard 9pm to 9.30pm cos this kinda hour, lately a lot of ppl calling cab lar
huh.. what can i say anymore?
we pay premium price for taxi booking, a whopping increase from SGD2.50 to SGD4 but what we consumer get? angry, frustration, bad attitude n service, unresponsible drivers, etc... this is the 1st time in my life - cab booking started from 8.40pm and the cab came at 9.25pm, this is really amazing!
i really have no idea who's right n who's wrong, the comfort corp say they'll eradicate errant cabby and improve service. MY FOOT! after years in service, still the damn lousy sucking service, i really applaud silvercab n others that ply our road, provide more competition to comfort. more competition meaning better service n price but who's the boss here, LTA?
i try not to debate who's right and who's wrong, i dun even bother to know what kind of system or equipment comfort use.. to me... when u want me to wait from 8.40pm to 9.25pm for cab booking, this is super ridiculous, not acceptable at all.
even the citycab cabby told me.. write a complain letter to them via email or letter, dun complain to the operator cos after they implement this kinda system (the additional piece of equipment mounted on all the taxi), they cut down a lot of operators.
suddenly i think of my sat class lecturer, he late 10 mins one day n complain to us that while waiting for a cab on Sat morning, no cab at sight. then one fella got no patient, call a cab n within 2 mins, the cab arrive... he damn unhappy on this kinda attitude
if i continue to write on.. i guess my article will be damn long till i dun need to sleep
nvm.. i already ask my sister to forward me the complain letter she wrote last time. i'll spend some time to craft another complain letter to them.. if they make me angry, i might even write to straits times column, damn them!!!
